Fans of Sam Milby have another reason to celebrate! The Fil-Am heartthrob has launched his debut album, which contains eight romantic acoustic tracks that will surely entice his female fans to fall more for this former PBB housemate.

His self-titled album was launched yesterday in his segment “Sam Sessions” in ASAP, where he and Anne Curtis sang a duet version of “Only You,” a theme song from a Koreanovela with the same title. He also sang The Calling’s “Wherever You Will Go,” with Piolo Pascual. The crowd got even more pleased when the he performed “Close To You,” the carrier single of his debut album.

“Close To You,” was originally sung by Barbie for a toothpaste commercial, where Sam appeared. Aside from the carrier single, the album contains 7 other acoustic tracks. It includes Sam’s solo version of “Magmahal Muli” and “I’ve fallen In Love,” the two songs that he composed while he was still in Big Brother’s house.

Sam, who has a great passion for music, says that it’s a dream come true for him to record a solo album. When he was still in the States, Sam became part of several rock bands as a guitarist. He also brought music to Kuya’s house when he joined Pinoy Big Brother.

Sam will perform his hits live at his mall shows this February. He will be at SM North EDSA on February 19, Starmall on February 22 and SM Bacoor on February 26.  Also catch him every Sunday in “Sam Sessions” on ASAP. The housemates will also have a concert next month so be sure to watch out for it! 

The heartthrob’s debut album, which is released through Star Records, will be available in your favorite record bars starting tomorrow.
