Uma and Sam instantly hit it off the day Sam entered Kuya’s house and have been pretty close until now.

Their relationship can take many forms from that of brothers with the Kuya-kid brother dynamics as Uma often looks after Sam, the bunso. At times they are just good buddies sharing common interests and the same knack for fun. Then there’s those malicious minds who even construe their closeness to be something else- of one pining for the other’s, uhm, romantic affections but that’s really going too far. Uma and Sam, both half Filipinos; both born and bred abroad but with a shared desire to be truly Pinoy in mind and heart are really just barkadas who have easily taken to each other as brothers.

Curiously though, another manifestation that they’ve really gotten close is not just that they are always horsing around or even Uma being generous enough to let Sam rummage through his clothes anytime to borrow shirts and shorts since buddies do that but that, gasp, Uma’s generosity extends to lending his underwear to Sam! Strangely, that may also cause a crack at their friendship now that Uma’s suddenly fussing about it.

Finding the time and energy to wash his clothes today, Uma decides to soak in warm water his briefs. He then complains to Say and Cass that Sam doesn’t just wash the ones he borrowed but even suggesting something unpleasant (and therefore unprintable!). “ Di ba dapat siya ang naglalaba nito?”, asks Uma to his two closest girl friends in Kuya’s house.

But Cass and Say are not exactly sympathetic to Uma. In fact they reprimand him for lending such intimate apparel to Sam in the first place.   “Bakit ka kasi nagpapahiram,”, laughs Say in incredulity. “ Kasi sabihin mo sa kanya bago ka magpahiram ( na siya dapat maglaba!), pareho kayo may mali e!”, Cass scolds her best friend. Uma still attempts to defend Sam as he explains to the girls: " Wala kasi talaga siya kadala-dala (briefs), dude!"

Will this irritant cause the end of Uma and Sam' s nice friendship? Or wll Uma be more understanding and extra patient to his buddy especially now that Sam is, along with Jason, in danger of eviction this Saturday?
